Why your medical examiner may refer you

Did any of these come up at your DOT physical?

Medical examiners look for common risk factors for obstructive sleep apnea. Check the ones that apply — it takes a moment.

Sounds like a sleep test is the right next step. We'll get you tested at home, reviewed by a sleep doctor, and on a treatment plan — fast.

From referral to back on the road

Testing to treatment in as little as one week

Every day off the road costs you. Our process is built to move fast — without an overnight stay in a sleep lab.

Night 1–2Test at homeSleep in your own bed or your sleeper berth. No lab, no wires across a strange room.

Day 5–7Treatment & paperworkIf treatment is needed, we get you started and provide documentation for your DOT medical examiner.
What the test measures

The three levels of obstructive sleep apnea

Your sleep study counts how many times per hour your breathing pauses. That number — and whether it's treated — is what your examiner cares about.

Mild

5–14 apnea events per hour

Involuntary sleepiness during activities that need little attention — watching TV, reading.

Often manageable with guidance

Moderate

15–30 apnea events per hour

Involuntary sleepiness during activities that need some attention — meetings, conversations.

May affect certification if untreated

Severe

30+ apnea events per hour

Involuntary sleepiness during activities that need active attention — talking, driving.

May affect certification if untreated

The good news for drivers: sleep apnea is highly treatable. Getting diagnosed and treated — with the right documentation — is what helps you stay certified and safe on the road. Your DOT medical examiner makes the final certification decision.

Why drivers choose us

We know your schedule doesn't stop

Most sleep clinics make you wait weeks for an appointment, then spend a night wired up in a lab. For a driver with a 90-day card ticking down, that's time you don't have. We built our sleep program around speed, convenience, and getting your paperwork done right.

  • Same-day appointments so you're not waiting on the clock
  • Home sleep test — no overnight sleep lab stay
  • Friday evening and Saturday hours for drivers passing through
  • CPAP set-up, follow-up, and documentation for your examiner

Driver questions

Common questions from CDL drivers

Do I have to spend a night in a sleep lab?

For most drivers, no. We use a home sleep test — a small device you wear overnight wherever you sleep, including your sleeper berth. You return it, and our sleep doctor reviews the results.

How fast can I get tested and treated?

Same-day appointments are often available, and most drivers go from testing to treatment in as little as one week. Call us and we'll find the earliest slot — including Friday evening and Saturday.

Will you provide paperwork for my DOT medical examiner?

Yes. We provide your sleep study results and, if treatment is started, the treatment documentation your examiner typically requests. Your examiner makes the final certification decision.

If I'm diagnosed with sleep apnea, can I still drive?

Many drivers with sleep apnea continue driving once they're on effective treatment and can document it. That's exactly why getting tested and treated quickly matters — we help you get there fast.

Can I come in on a Saturday or after my shift?

Yes. We're open until 6:30 PM on Fridays and from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturdays, plus 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Thursday.

Do you accept my insurance?

We accept most insurance plans and verify eligibility before your visit. Cash-pay options are also available for home sleep testing — just ask when you call.
